Aotearoa Disability Law (formerly Auckland Disability Law) provides free legal advice, advocacy, and education for New Zealanders with disabilities. Whether it’s discrimination or unfair treatment at work. That’s where Aotearoa Disability Law comes in. They help disabled people navigate a system that is notoriously difficult.
“The legal system isn’t designed for everyone… but legal help shouldn’t be out of reach.”
Their purpose is to remove barriers by making legal help accessible, easy to understand, and free. Through their mahi, they create lasting change in the legal system and challenge discrimination toward the disabled community.
Our funding enabled Aotearoa Disability Law to take on a National Community Educator, expanding their workshops beyond Auckland and out across the motu.
Because every person with a disability deserves to live with dignity, independence, and self-determination, wherever they are in Aotearoa.
