Speladd provides support services for people with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, neuro-diversities, and other specific learning difficulties. Their mission is to encourage success and enjoyment of life-long learning.

They offer assessments, tutoring, resources, and practical support for both children and adults. Each service aims to recognise the unique learning needs of every individual and meet them where they are rather than where they ‘should’ be. However, for many of their clients, cost is a barrier to accessing this support.

Spectrum Foundation helped create a subsidy fund for those with a Community Services Card or Student ID. This was an effort to ensure that more people, from tamariki to tertiary students, can get the assessment or support they need, without the financial strain.

The subsidies are helping dozens of individuals and their whānau access the kind of learning support that can change lives, open doors, and ease the pressure of feeling left behind.
